As the world marvels at the grandeur of the Olympic Games, one extraordinary community is often overlooked: Paralympic athletes. They embody resilience, dedication, and the unbreakable human spirit — yet support for them, especially from celebrities, remains scarce.

That is why I launched the initiative “100 Celebrities Talk for Paralympic” , a movement born from a deep belief that happiness is a gift from God, and these athletes truly deserve it.

This project is a non-commercial collaboration Maria Monique Last Wish Foundation with the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF), led by the heartfelt support of its Secretary-General, Senior Colonel Wandee Tosuwan, and also supported by Mr. Tarek Souei, CEO of the Asian Paralympic Committee(AsPC)
The concept is simple yet powerful: 100 celebrities with beautiful hearts are invited to donate three sentences of love and encouragement to Paralympic athletes across Asia.
No ads. No sponsorships. No commercialization. Pure moral support.
Why words? Because a single sentence from a respected public figure can bring tremendous happiness to an athlete fighting through immense challenges. And when 100 voices come together, the world begins to listen.
I faith it and choose the first Asian celebrity to join this project is Deepa Malik, a national icon from India and the first Indian woman to win a Paralympic medal.
She has been instrumental in making Paralympic sport popular in India , Bollywood superstars like Amitabh Bachchan Shahrukh Khan , Hritik Roshan have also applauded her achievements and become a fan of her hard work for paralympic.
She is also the former President of India’s Paralympic Committee and a board member of the Asian Paralympic Committee.
And continue to inspire fellow celebrities to stand with Paralympic Athletes
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi once said to her:
“The entire nation salutes you for your achievements.”
Bollywood celebrities echoed this messages:
“Deepa Malik, you make all of India proud.”
– Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Divya Dutta, Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaaz Gill etc

Deepa Malik even recorded a special video inviting celebrities worldwide to join this movement of love and solidarity.
I have also extended invitations to Her Royal Highness Ashi Euphelma Choden Wangchuek and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan, as well as actor Lee Jang Woo, ambassador for Crocodile, whose CEO in Thailand is also the vocalist of the APSF anthem I wrote.
Additionally, I invited Thai celebrity Nandhamalee Bhirombhakdi, Managing Director of Cavallino Motors Ferrari Thailand, and her daughter, Thai singer Beam Voranan, to share their support and inspiration through this charity project.
From Indonesia, the first celebrity to lend her voice was the late Titiek Puspa, a cultural icon who offered an exceptionally heartfelt message of love to Boccia athletes — a message filled with strength, compassion, and enduring impact.
More love continues to pour in from Delon Thamrin, Merpati Band, Luvia Band, Andrigo, and Christian Kertawiguna, through the support of Nagaswara.
Contributions also came from Wen Pin Chen (Best Actor at the Golden Horse Taipei Film Festival) and from award-winning young filmmaker Wayne Su of Taipei. His touching words read:
“Your spirit not only inspires our entire region — it is also lighting a beacon of hope for the world.”
“Every step you take is a symbol of strength and part of history.”
“Keep moving forward with courage. You’ve got this, Asian & ASEAN heroes!”
The official launch of the “100 Celebrities Talk for Paralympic” project will take place on July 11, 2025, in Singapore, in collaboration with the Singapore Disability Sports Council and Ital Auto Ferrari, and will be opened by APSF Secretary-General Wandee Tosuwan alongside Mrs. Siti Marifah, the eldest daughter of Indonesia’s former Vice President.

I invite celebrities across the globe to lend their hearts and voices to “100 Celebrities Talk for Paralympic.”
